Minecraft Vanilla+ Modlist

AppleSkin

AppleSkin is a nice informative mod for how good the foods in the world are. Every food item restores a fixed amount of hunger and saturation. These values are normally hidden from the player but this mod provides a simple graphic on the tooltip of every food that shows these values quickly. This is particularly useful in modpacks that add a variety of foods but is also a nice-to-have when playing Vanilla.

BackTools

BackTools is a visual enhancement mod that takes the previously used tool or weapon a player used and places it on their back. It's a simple mod that does well in providing some more details to players.

Better Dropped Items

Better Dropped Items is a visual mod that changes the physics of items as they fall and eventually land on the ground. Items tumble end-over-end in the air and lie flat when they land. It's a brilliant mod for adding some variations to the otherwise mundane task of dropping items.

Better F3

Better F3 is an informational mod that overhauls the menu that's provided through the F3 button. The menu is now customizable to show as much or as little information as each player prefers. The menus are colored and makes it far easier to find coordinates, orientation, or entities.

Better Third Person

Better Third Person, as you might have guessed, is an overhaul for the third person camera that allows you to pivot around your character and move in any direction. It provides for opportunities for marvelous screenshots and can make exploration more exciting since you're no longer limited to staring at either your hand or the back of your head.

Borderless Mining

Borderless Mining is a wonderful mod that changes Minecraft's default fullscreen mode into a borderless fullscreen. F11 will send you to fullscreen like normal but you can now navigate to a second window without Minecraft minimizing from losing focus. A godsend of a mod if like me you have a second monitor for watching Youtube during long grind session.

Colormatic

Colormatic is a visual mod that changes the colors of the world based upon the biome. The different Nether biomes, in particular, have a more noticeable (and appreciated) fog tint that matches the biomes wonderfully.
